The Eastern is a 2,200 capacity music venue located in the Reynoldstown neighborhood of Atlanta. The tiered concrete and steel structure ascends out of a compressed footprint. Mezzanines and balconies bend in relation to the stage, creating optimal sight lines and an up-close & personal experience. The Eastern feels like a large rock venue, and an intimate room at the same time.

The small footprint and the surrounding site required a vertical and “upright” approach to accommodate 2,200 patrons. Burrowing into the earth to create a basement, and stacking a series of mezzanines allowed us to maintain a small footprint while wrapping fans around the stage.
